A leaker by the name of Max Weinbach asserts that Apple has informed carriers that it would prioritize releasing the iPhone 14 with integrated SIMs, sometimes known as eSIMs for short. If you purchase an iPhone 14 that is locked, it seems that you will not get a SIM card in the box like you did with prior models of the iPhone, since Apple may prefer that you set up the phone using the eSIM instead.
Weinbach said that this was probably just for the United States, and that the iPhone 14 will still have a SIM slot allowing users to insert their already purchased SIM cards. On the other hand, it seems like the iPhone SIM tray’s time on the market will soon come to an end, much as Apple did with the headphone jack and the home button before it.
An analyst was the source of an earlier report that eSIM-only devices will be available for the iPhone 14, and it is expected that the iPhone 15 would provide the same thing the following year. The bulk of iPhone 14s models, according to that speculation, will still be compatible with both a conventional SIM and an eSIM, much as the iPhone 13 does.
By the way Apple told carriers to be ready for iPhone 14 series to be eSIM only
Whether it has a SIM card slot or not is beyond me but that's what they said

This report may appeal to customers who need to manage various phone numbers for business or vacation, but there are other new features for the iPhone 14 series that are supposed to be coming that would thrill consumers even more. Things include a revised notch design and enhanced primary camera for the iPhone 14 Pro models, as well as a new size for the iPhone 14 in the shape of the iPhone 14 Max/iPhone 14 Plus. These updates are for the Pro variants of the iPhone.
At the Apple event that is scheduled to take place on September 7, in addition to new iPhones, it is possible that we will see the Apple Watch 8, the Apple Watch 8 Pro, and the AirPods Pro 2.
