iQOO is gearing up to introduce a new smartphone dubbed iQOO 8 next month. Some of the phone’s specs have been revealed, including its processor, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus, and an official launch date.
Fresh reports, however, come in handy, unveiling most of the smartphone’s features and specs so we know what to expect.
Here is what you need to know.
iQOO 8 Specs and Features Unveiled
The company didn’t offer more details about the upcoming iQOO 8. The official teaser, however, hints at a powerful processor from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 888 Plus.
To recall, the last iQOO offering, the iQOO 7 lineup, draws its power from the Snapdragon 888. Now, the company seems to be using an updated variant of the processor, raising the exceptions a bit.
Also, none of the mainstream handsets has been released with Qualcomm’s latest premium-grade chipset.
Display details
The iQOO 8 is said to flaunt a high-resolution FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a sleek punch-hole cutout for the upfront camera.
It would be great to see iQOO 8 featuring more upgrades, as some reports have claimed lately, but without an official confirmation, we don’t know sure.
Hardware and software specs
Under the hood, the iQOO 8 will pack a Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 888 Plus coupled with up to 12 GB RAM and 256GB or 521GB onboard storage. As per recent leaks, we should also expect MicroSD card support for extra storage.
The iQOO 8 will ship with Android 11 OS.
iQOO 8 Launch Details
The company has revealed that the iQOO 8 will debut on August 4 via an official teaser. The smartphone will hit the Chinese markets first before reaching other global markets.
Details about the phone’s availability and the price tag are still unknown, but we should get more information in the coming weeks.
iQOO 8 is expected to arrive as a gaming smartphone.
