Joker 2 or Joker: Folie à Deux is starting to film very soon, but you still have to wait for the sequel.
The sequel was officially announced in June 2022 when the director Todd Phillips shared the script with co-written Scott Silver. See down below on Phillips’s Instagram a post where he is working on the new writing with Phoenix.

Here Is Everything You Have To Know About Joker: Folie à Deux
According to Warner Bros, the new Joker will be released in the cinema on October 4, 2024, without any delays. In late November or early December, the set will start filming.
Wondering why they chose this title?
Folie à Deux is the French phrase for a madness of two, and it is used in English to describe a mental illness. Meanwhile, from the title, we can predict that another protagonist will come to play as the second person and that Arthur Fleck’s psyche will be explored on screen again.
As a possibility, it is Harley Quinn who will be sharing Arthur’s mental illness or delusion in the sequel.

Of course, Joaquin Phoenix will be back as Arthur Fleck. There is a rumor that Lady Gaga has joined the film as Harley Quinn. After Margot Robbie, Lady Gaga will be the Worlds of DC’s second Harley Quinn.

No solid plot details are shared, but in some way, the movie will be a musical.
The final scene of Joker saw Arthur locked up in Arkham State Hospital, arrested after the riots that tore through Gotham City were dispersed by the police. The movie final is him dancing down the hospital corridor, leaving red footprints in his wake.
Another question is who will be the antagonist. In the first movie, it was Joker in many ways. His transition from a regular member of civil society to a full-on killer was the film’s crux.
