Although Lenovo is best known for its laptops, the Chinese company is eager to prove once again that it can do well in other tech areas as well. The new Lenovo Tab P12 now arrives as a brand new tablet based on Android 13 and the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor.
Lenovo Tab P12 is set to come out today, July 28. Interestingly enough, the tablet seems to be non-upgradable to Android 14, but that shouldn’t be a problem for anyone who wants a decent tablet. Android 13 still works fine and dandy for tablets.
Specifications
The Lenovo Tab P12 boasts a 12.7-inch IPS LCD display. With a resolution of 1840 x 2944 pixels and a 16:10 aspect ratio, the tablet provides sharp visuals at a density of roughly 273 pixels per inch (ppi).
Lenovo Tab P12’s power-efficient MediaTek MT6877V Dimensity 7050 chipset is built on a 6 nm architecture. The octa-core processor comprises 2 high-performance Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.6 GHz and 6 efficient Cortex-A55 cores operating at 2.0 GHz. This combination ensures smooth multitasking. The graphics rendering is handled by the Mali-G68 MC4 GPU.
As for memory, the Lenovo Tab P12 provides multiple configurations, such as 128GB of internal storage paired with either 4GB or 8GB of RAM, and an option for higher memory capacity with 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM. Furthermore, the tablet supports microSDXC cards through a dedicated slot, allowing users to expand their storage even further if they wish.
When it comes to the photography front, Lenovo’s new tablet features a dual main camera setup, with an 8-megapixel wide lens equipped with autofocus and an LED flash, enabling you to capture moments with clarity. The main camera is capable of shooting 4K videos at 30 frames per second, as well as 1080p videos at 30 frames per second. As for selfies and video calls, the Tab P12 incorporates a 13-megapixel ultrawide front camera that can shoot 1080p videos at 30 frames per second.
