Ahead of the great CES event, which is scheduled to take place between January 5 and January 8, 2023, Lenovo just unveiled two new interesting tech toys. Both of them are quite affordable, which means that the devices are also not high-end. But even so, there are plenty of folks out there who don’t have high demands when it comes to either laptops or tablets.
Lenovo’s two new devices in question are the IdeaPad Flex 3i Chromebook, as well as the M9 tablet, according to GSMArena. In fact, the Chromebook can play the role of both a laptop and a tablet at the same time. The gadget features plenty of connectivity options, and you can always detach the physical keyboard to control the device by using its touchscreen.
Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 3i features NVIDIA graphics
If you buy a Lenovo Idea Pad Flex 3i, you can choose either NVIDIA or Intel graphics. The difference is that NVIDIA graphics are dedicated, while the Intel parts are not. The Chromebook also comes in two versions of RAM (4GB or 8GB), and it’s definitely recommended to choose the higher one.
As for the hardware, there are both 64GB and 128GB options. But Chromebooks rely more on cloud storage rather than SSDs or HDDs, which means that you shouldn’t normally care about their internal gigabytes. Besides, there are tons of cloud storage services out there on the web!
You won’t have to complain too much about the ports while using Lenovo’s new Chromebook, either. The device sports two USB-A 3.5 Gen 1 ports, a single USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port, and an HDMI 1.4 port. Lenovo’s Chromebook also has a display that measures 12.2 inches.
The MediaTek Helio G80 chipset is powering the Lenovo M9 tablet
Lenovo’s M9 tablet is very light, as it weighs less than 1 pound. You can easily carry it pretty much anywhere. The display measures only 9 inches. The tablet features storage of up to 128GB, while the minimum amount is 32GB. As for the RAM, the device supports only 3 or 4GB of memory, depending on which variant the customer chooses to buy.
The battery of the Lenovo M9 tablet is also worthy of attention, as it reaches 5,100 mAh, and it also features support for 15W charging via USB-C.
For those unaware, Chromebooks are laptops that run on Google’s Chrome operating system, which is based on the Linux kernel and designed to be used with web applications. Chromebooks are known for their simplicity and speed, as they do not require powerful hardware and are designed to be used primarily with cloud-based applications and services.
Some of the key features of Chromebooks include:
- Ease of use: Chromebooks are designed to be user-friendly and easy to set up. They boot up quickly and have a simple interface that is easy to navigate.
- Cloud-based storage: Chromebooks rely heavily on cloud-based storage, with most models offering 100GB of Google Drive storage for free. This means that users can access their files and documents from any device with an internet connection.
- Automatic updates: Chromebooks receive automatic updates from Google, which means that users don’t have to worry about manually updating their operating system or installing security patches.
Lenovo is known for its laptops and other computer products. According to its 2020 annual report, Lenovo generated a total of $52.1 billion in revenue for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2021. It is difficult to determine exactly how much of this revenue came from laptop sales, as Lenovo’s revenue is generated from a variety of products and services. However, laptops are a significant part of the company’s business, and it is likely that a significant portion of its revenue is generated from the sale of laptops.
