The mobile business of LG has committed to delivering on its promise to upgrade some of its older devices to Android 12 in 2018, and it is doing so in a very gradual and methodical manner. After the Velvet and the V60 ThinQ, now the LG V50 ThinQ 5G has begun getting the upgrade to Android 12. This update was initially scheduled to take place by the end of June; however, it seems that it has been significantly postponed.
Although Android 13 may be at the horizon at this time, it is still admirable to see a corporation that has left the mobile industry but has not forgotten its clients from the good old days. The V50 ThinQ 5G was introduced in April 2019, and the upgrade to Android 12 is presently going out to Verizon devices in the US. It is likely that the goodies will be rolled out to the other versions of the phone sold in the United States soon.
The changelog
The changelog is really brief, but you can anticipate getting all of the great new features that Google crammed into Android 12 over the last year.
