Perhaps most Dragon Ball fans love Goku, but we all have to admit that there are also a lot of Vegeta fans as well. The Saiyan Prince has been through enormous transformations since he was first introduced in the franchise in early Dragon Ball Z.
At first, Vegeta was a cold, ruthless, merciless, and murderous fiend who would tare down anybody who might dare to stand in his way. Vegeta was even doing dirty work for Frieza, conquering and selling entire planets. The Saiyan Prince was surfing across the Universe in his spaceship, along with two other space pirates: Raditz and Nappa. But after Vegeta’s battle and loss against Goku on Earth, something changed forever in the Saiyan Prince’s heart.
Vegeta slowly became one of the good guys
Vegeta was outraged at Goku’s character and wondered how a Saiyan could be so gentle and forgiving and, at the same time, fight so hard and efficiently. After making a family for his own, Vegeta had to help Goku and the others get rid of some powerful foes. Slowly but surely, Vegeta became one of the good guys, although maybe he wouldn’t admit it.
During the Buu Saga from the late Dragon Ball Z, an evil wizard known as Babidi managed to take Vegeta under his control, reawakening the evil from the Saiyan’s heart. Vegeta has been craving that feeling for long, although it was dormant in his heart. He even acknowledged that he let Babidi control him for that so that he could take on Goku once again. That new phase was known as Majin Vegeta.
We have to admit that the new Dragon Ball art of Majin Vegeta just looks outrageously good:

After being under Babidi’s spell, Vegeta got involved in a cataclysmic battle against his old rival Goku. However, the Saiyan Prince reminded about his new noble spirit in the end and decided to sacrifice himself against Majin Buu to save the entire world.
