Nintendo has recently released updates for two of their popular Switch games: Nintendo Switch Sports and Mario Strikers: Battle League. Both games have been updated to version 1.3.1, bringing with them a few minor changes and fixes, according to Nintendo Everything.
The Mario Strikers update addresses an issue where rainbow-colored blocks were not appearing during Strikers Club Season Matches, while Nintendo Switch Sports has received additional data for available items.
Although the updates are minor, it is important to note that Nintendo does not have any plans to introduce any new major content to these games. Nintendo Switch Sports did receive an update with the addition of Golf late last year, while Mario Strikers: Battle League had a few free content updates in 2022, but that has since come to an end.
Get ready for a whole new level of soccer action with Mario Strikers: Battle League. This 5-on-5 sports game will test your skills and push you to the limits as you play without any rules and do whatever it takes to come out as a winner. The stakes are high, and the competition fierce as you tackle enemies, use items strategically, and pull off powerful Hyper Strikes to boost your scores. Whether you’re playing online with friends or locally with family, the action is always intense and fast-paced. But beware, watch out for the electric fences as you play. This game is sure to be a hit for anyone looking for a thrill and a challenge.
Mario Strikers: Battle League seem to have gotten some inspiration from other titles such as the legendary Goal 3 game for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). That’s also a soccer game where you get to break all rules.
However, it is still possible for smaller patches to be released for both Mario Strikers and Nintendo Switch Sports in the future, including ones for fixes. Players can now download the 1.3.1 updates for both games on the Nintendo Switch.
