The video game Marvel’s Avengers has been updated with the inclusion of yet another of Captain America’s costumes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
On Thursday, August 25, the costume that Steve Rogers, portrayed by Chris Evans, wore in the film Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which was produced by Marvel Studios in 2014, became available for purchase in the in-game marketplace of Marvel’s Avengers. The news was broken by the game’s official Twitter account, which did so by using the phrase “On your left,” which was a famous line spoken by Steve to Sam Wilson, played by Anthony Mackie, in the first few minutes of The Winter Soldier.
It should come as no surprise that the Winter Soldier skin is not Captain America’s first costume based on a movie to appear in Marvel’s Avengers. During his time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Steve Rogers donned a number of distinct incarnations of the iconic outfit he wore. Since the game’s release, additional Captain America skins have been made available, each of which is based on a different Marvel Studios movie. These movies include Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers, Avengers: Infinity War, and the previously mentioned Endgame.

In point of fact, despite the fact that the video game takes place in its own reality, various skins based on characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been added to its roster of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Crystal Dynamics, the game’s developer, has just recently given Jane Foster/Mighty Thor a skin that is inspired by her appearance in Thor: Love and Thunder, the most current feature film to be produced by Marvel Studios.
