Mastodon is the New Alternative to Twitter, Here’s Why!

Source: Mastodon

Twitter has seen better days for sure, but now things are a bit awkward, and we’re constantly wondering, what’s going on?! With Elon Musk’s decisions and people’s reactions, it’s hard to keep up with the giant social app anymore. But that doesn’t mean it should stay like this.

Mastodon has attracted over two million users since Elon Musk took over Twitter. And that’s a fact! Is the app a better alternative?

Find out if Mastodon is really worth your time and what Twitter did.

Mastodon is the New Twitter

Ex-Twitter users are now putting Mastodon in the spotlight, stirring quite the buzz. Is the app really worth it?

Well, the numbers say so: Between October and November, the number of monthly active users on the Twitter substitute increased from 300,000 to 2.5 million. Quite impressive, right?!

And there’s more.

[…] we are excited to see Mastodon grow and become a household name in newsrooms across the world; [we are] committed to continuing to improve our software to face up to new challenges that come with rapid growth and increasing demand, explained Eugen Rochko Mastodon’s CEO, founder, and lead developer.

But Mastodon has also faced some issues from Twitter, including harsh reversed bans on sharing links to the app. That came a bit unexpected for some, but as previously said, Twitter is in an awkward place right now, and things might get even weirder.

People are using other platforms besides Mastodon as Twitter alternatives. In addition to Hive, which just reopened after coping with some security difficulties, there are well-known social media sites like Reddit, Tumblr, and Discord. Post, led by former Waze CEO Noam Bardin, is another option.

More than 17.5 million people participated in Musk’s latest poll asking if he should resign as CEO of Twitter, so the ‘birdy app’ is still clinging on despite the rising popularity of something that isn’t Twitter.
