Everybody seems to be in the livestreaming business in 2022! It seems that everybody gets filmed and added on the internet, in one way or another. Therefore, you might like Meta’s new plans regarding the ‘Super’ platform, especially if you’re one of those gazillions of gifted influencers out there!

TechCrunch tells us about a new report from Business Insider revealing that Meta’s New Product Experimentation team has a new platform under the testing phase for about two years. It’s called ‘Super,’ it’s somehow similar to Twitch, and it’s dedicated to influencers. By using it, users will even have the chance to earn revenue if their content is considered interesting enough by their followers.

A spokesperson of Meta said to Business Insider, as TechCrunch quotes:

Right now, it’s web only,

They have been testing it very quietly for about two years. The end goal [of NPE projects] is ultimately creating the next standalone project that could be part of the Meta family of products.

Making money online by being an influencer is not something new at all in 2022. Many of those who have a lot of followers on Instagram generate income.

Regardless of how the Super platform will be, what’s for sure is that it will have a lot of competition. There are so many video streaming apps already available out there: Twitch, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and so on. But considering that ‘Super’ comes from a tech behemoth like Meta (formerly known as Facebook), we can surely expect that it will receive a lot of attention on the market. Either way, we have to say that the upcoming platform sure has a pretty dull name.

Future users of ‘Super’ will likely have to pay to use at least some features of the app. We’re confident that we’ll find out more about the app soon enough!
