Microsoft has released a new software update for the Surface Duo 2 that includes bug fixes, performance improvements, and camera upgrades. Microsoft’s support for the Surface Duo 2 seems to be on a roll. The hardware team has now released their 125MB monthly July upgrade. Whereas messaging Glance Bar notifs were included in the previous month’s upgrade, this month’s release concentrates on system efficiency and the camera.
Android Security Bulletin—July 2022 addresses the following issues, per the published changelog.
- Enhances stability
- The system’s performance is boosted as a result
- A new feature improves the sensitivity of ink while working with a Surface Pen in Office Apps
- Enhancements to face identification technologies and night photography improve the camera experience.
In addition, improvements to technologies like face identification and night mode photography are always appreciated. Even though the camera on the Surface Duo 2 has undergone a significant amount of development over the last several months, any software adjustments that may make it better will help compensate for the hardware restrictions that are inherent to this particular form factor.
A new version of the Surface Duo is also released.
Microsoft has also released a July update for the original Surface Duo, even though there isn’t as much new information here as there is with the June update.
The program has been updated to version 2022.517.57, which includes the following features:
- Android Security Bulletin—July 2022 issues are addressed in this release.
- Improves the stability of the phone
Update the Surface Duo or Surface Duo 2:

- Decide on a platform.
