Most astrophysicists agree that our Universe was born along with the Big Bang. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that nothing existed before the birth of our Universe itself. Something totally different might have existed that cannot actually be considered part of the Cosmos.
Hang in there, ok? According to thebrighterside.news, scientists from Canada are now theorizing that there’s another Universe made of antimatter that’s extending backward in time and even before the Big Bang itself. You can also call it an Antiuniverse. In other words, our Universe is nothing else but the outcome of that other peculiar Universe, if the theory is correct.
Mystery of dark matter finally debunked?
Dark matter is that mysterious thing that accounts for much more mass of the Universe than normal matter does. But even so, nobody has a clear idea what exactly dark matter is, what it looks like and if it lays eggs or not.
Jokes aside, for now! Astronomers, astrophysicists, and scientists, in general, know for sure that dark matter exists out there in the vastness of the Cosmos and that it even plays a huge role in keeping galaxies complete.
As for now, the new Antiuniverse theory might shed some light on the dark matter conundrum. The mere existence of dark matter can be, therefore, explained.
Otherwise, there are plenty of Multiverse theories out there. Some claim that our Universe is just one out of an infinite number of other universes, and that a copy of each of us exists in each of them.
The theory of the researchers from Canada about the Antiuniverse is far from perfect, although it also brings an answer to the old question, “what existed before the Big Bang?”. Scientists still need to unravel a lot of mysteries about the hypothetical “Antiuniverse.” Well, it’s not like the Universe we already live in isn’t weird enough, if you ask us!
