Episode 20 from the fifth season of My Hero Academia has some surprises in store for watchers. Obtaining new power from Dr. Garaki is not an easy feat for Tomura Shigaraki. Gigantomachia proves to be the ultimate challenge for Shigaraki, who has to prove worthy and defeat him. The two fight for weeks, but despite the fact that Gigantomachia is very slow, he proves to be very resistant.
Dabi is the only one from the League of Villains who is not focused on the Gigantomachia fight, which means that the Pro Heroes have a real advantage. Re-Destro from the Meta Liberation Army calls Twice from the phone of Giran and announces that they intend to destroy the League and begin the revolution of the Army. Shigaraki agrees and comes up with a strategy to defeat Re-Destro.
The battle is about to take place in Deika City, and Re-Destro believes to have a solid numerical advantage as there are more than 110.000 Army members to support him. More than that, Re-Destro also has Giran captive. While Shigaraki does agree with the confrontation, he has a secret plan as well. Gigantomachia can detect Shigaraki anywhere and will follow him to any location. Therefore, Shigaraki plans to take advantage of this against Re-Destro. Ggigantomachia becomes the secret weapon Shigaraki plans to use against the Meta Liberation Army in Deika City.
This brilliant but devilish strategy is meant to defeat, or at least severely weaken, Shigaraki’s two main enemies: Gigantomachia and the Liberation Army. If either one of those parts is defeated, the other one will still be weak enough for the League of Villains to finish them off. Moreover, this would mean that Tomura Shifaraki would finally complete Dr. Garaki’s task.
