A few new posters for The Super Mario Bros. Movie were unveiled this week by Nintendo and Illumination Entertainment and earlier today saw the release of yet another one, starring none other than fan-favorite character Princess Peach on Rainbow Road!
The racing outfit that Peach debuted in Mario Kart 8 can also be seen in the poster.
The movie’s trailers have previously shown various other characters traveling down Rainbow Road.
Zooming in on the poster, fans will likely see that Peach’s competitors this time around are all Kong figures!
Despite the absence of Donkey Kong and Cranky Kong, we can still make out a number of other apes behind her.

The Kongs pursuing Princess Peach may have a story explanation, which will be intriguing to see and learn more about.
When Mario and DK square off in the second trailer for the movie, several Kongs can be spotted in the audience as well.
According to the poster, the Kongs are either chasing Peach or she is leading them in their battle against Bowser.
Although Donkey Kong and Cranky Kong’s roles have remained a mystery thus far, Mario and DK began as foes in the original Donkey Kong game.
Since Mario is being trained by Peach in the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Movie, it is possible that the battle with Donkey Kong is only an opportunity to teach him about power-ups and how to use them.
Naturally, fans of Mario Kart should be well acquainted with Rainbow Road at this point.
Since Super Mario Kart, every single game in the popular series has featured Rainbow Road in some fashion, and, in fact, it always serves as the game’s final course.
It is hardly surprising that Rainbow Road, one of the most recognizable places in the whole Mario game, is included in this movie adaptation as well.
There are still a lot of unanswered questions regarding how The Super Mario Bros. Movie will play out, but they will probably be addressed in the upcoming months. Are you excited to check out the film?
