The London-based group known as Nothing released a pretty interesting phone back in July 2022 for those looking for a midrange device that also has some premium specs. Known simply as Nothing Phone (1), that device impressed mainly due to its advanced cameras.
Obviously, the guys from Nothing won’t stop there, as they now have a successor in the works. As you’ve probably already guessed, it will be known as Nothing Phone (2), and there are plenty of objective reasons to be optimistic about its upcoming release.
How different will Nothing Phone (2) be compared to its predecessor?
Notebookcheck has spotted renders of the forthcoming Nothing Phone (2) smartphone due to @OnLeaks and SmartPrix. There’s no need to have any eagle eyes to realize that the next Nothing Phone will be pretty different compared to its predecessor, at least for its design. Feel free to conclude for yourself:
It might be disappointing a bit for some people to realize that the upcoming Nothing Phone (2) won’t be carrying the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset from Qualcomm. But hey, nobody said that the device would be a flagship! The fans will just have to comply with the implementation of the SD 8 Gen 1 processor, which is still a great decision.
Here’s an official statement coming from Carl Pei, the CEO of Nothing, through a tweet:
There has been a lot of discussion ever since we announced that Phone (2) will have a Snapdragon 8 Series chipset. Well here’s some news – it’s going to be the premium-tier powerhouse Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. A clear upgrade from Phone (1). Let’s talk about the key differences
Nothing Phone (2) is expected to debut after at least a month, which means that the fans have no other choice but to try to remain patient. Remember: good things come to those who wait!
