It is safe to say that Now You See Me is a phenomenon. The first two movies were a great success, grossing $700 million at worldwide box office. The movies got positive reviews for both critics and the audience, and now, we’re waiting for a third movie. Back in May 2015, the CEO of Lionsgate, Jon Feltheimer announced that they already had plans for Now You See Me 3.
The story of our heroes must go on. And for the third movie, they have prepared some amazing magic tricks to keep us entertained.
Nathan Kahane, the president of Lionsgate, stated: “The Now You See Me franchise has been built on keeping the audience surprised and guessing. Any great magician knows you can’t keep doing the same tricks. And Eric and his team of illusionists have something special up their sleeve for this new film.”
The production of the film already started already, but it goes a bit slower than the other movies. Due to the pandemic, the movie industry had to suffer, and so did the Now You See Me 3 movie.
About the plot
As of now, we don’t know much about the plot, but we know for sure that great surprises will come. The third movie from the series will focus on a new style of robbery. “Eric has always been fascinated with the fine art of deception and illusion in all of its forms and he came to us with a great story that takes the mythology of Now You See Me and pushes The Four Horsemen to a whole new level with our key returning cast and new characters,” said Nathan Kahane.
Benedict Cumberbatch has joined the cast, but rumour has it, he will be the villain.
