Things are getting more tense day by day in Overwatch, and there’s no wonder why. We’re talking about the team-based multiplayer first-person shooter game that, even though it was released about five years ago after being developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment, it still has a huge number of players who compete against each other online.
According to Blizzard, Overwatch had over seven million players who accumulated a total playtime of 119 million hours only a week from its launch. The current stats are not far from those numbers, and the 2021 June meta tier list was just revealed by thegamehaus.com. While we take a peek at the rosters, all we can say is that Overwatch fans should consider themselves lucky!
Tier 1: Optimal heroes with synergy and high win rates
- McCree
- Zarya
- Mei
- Reinhardt
- Baptiste
- Va
- Echo
- Lucio
If you’re aiming for the best option at healer, you must give Batiste a try. The guy brings an interesting mix of healing and damage. Pairing him with Lucio becomes a great idea, as they can act as a great healing duo.
Zarya is the badass girl with a guy attitude and a powerful Particle Cannon at her disposal who conquered our hearts forever. She deploys powerful personal barriers for converting incoming damage into energy for her destructive toy. Zarya is considered an invaluable asset for the front lines of Overwatch battles.
Tier 2: Good alternatives to Tier 1 and good options nonetheless
- Ashe
- Brigitte
- Junkrat
- Wrecking Ball
- Orisa
- Reaper
- Torbjorn
- Mercy
- Moira
- Tracer
- Winston
- Ana
- Zenyatta
Orisa and Wrecking Ball can act as very efficient counters to the Rush comp. Moira and Winston are the last two pieces of the ‘GOATs’ composition, and they’re not exactly the kind of characters capable of succeeding without help from the rest of the team.
Torbjörn is one of the exciting heroes of the game and one of our favourites as well. The character is an engineer who’s specialized in weapon design. He possesses an extensive arsenal that includes a rivet gun and hammer, but we don’t also have to forget about the personal forge that he can use to build turrets.
Tier 3: Great picks, although they lack some strength
- Soldier: 76
- Sombra
- Doomfist
- Genji
- Symmetra
- Hanzo
- Pharah
- Sigma
From Tier 3, we recommend you to take Genji into account the most. This Damage hero flings deadly Shuriken towards his targets. The character’s wakizashi is also a great tool for deflecting projectiles. Genji can also deliver a Swift Strike using his merciless ‘dragoonblade.’
Along with Doomfist, Genji is also a great Drive and Brawl option. Symmetra is the Control-map specialist from the Tier, and the players can easily rely on her.
Tier 4: Probably less efficient than the others, but still worth mentioning
- Bastion
- Roadhog
- Widowmaker
Widowmaker is by far the most interesting hero from Tier 4, as she will never be the kind of gal ready to read you a bedtime story. She is an assassin without a trace of remorse who is ready to use every dirty trick in the book to take down enemies, whether we’re talking about poisonous gas, a sniper rifle that fires in fully automatic mode, a visor that will grant infra-sight for the whole team, and more.
Those willing to play Overwatch can do it via the following platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC. Another stronghold of Overwatch is that the version for PC doesn’t demand a too powerful hardware configuration in order to run. If your PC contains a graphics card such as NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 460, Intel® HD Graphics 4400, or ATI Radeonâ„¢ HD 4850, it will pretty much be enough to run Overwatch on your gear.
