The PlayStation 5 console was definitely the bee’s knees back in late 2020 when it came out. However, the standards in gaming always go up, meaning that it was just a matter of time until gamers wanted more hardware power than what PS5 had to offer.
PlayStation 5 Pro is now in the works, and there are already reasons to be optimistic if you want to buy such a gaming machine. You may have already guessed why they call it ‘Pro’ – the future console will feature significantly more GPU power and faster RAM in order to provide an even more exciting gaming experience.
PlayStation 5 Pro will launch in November 2024
Notebookcheck reveals the news brought by Tom Henderson, sharing intriguing details about the PlayStation 5 Pro. Codenamed ‘Trinity’, this upcoming Pro model of the PS5 console has been in development since early 2022, aiming to enhance the gaming experience with a more consistent 4K performance and even a new 8K mode.
Powered by GPU and RAM improvements, the PlayStation 5 Pro is expected to deliver accelerated ray tracing, albeit not at 8K. With 30 Work Group Processors or 36 Compute Units in the GPU, this next-gen console is poised to rival the Radeon RX 6800.
