The Pokemon Go map has been recently updated, and the fans of the franchise are pleased with the changes that have been introduced.
The game allows users to take upon the task of becoming a trainer, walking around and catching wild Pokemon by themselves.
Niantic, the developer of the game, produced their custom world map for the supported countries.
Recently, two significant updates have been added, including the real-time sky mechanic and some extra details to the map.
The real-time sky is only a visual update, but it looks stunning. It’s delightful to see the natural skylight mimicked in the game. Also, real-life geographical spots and weather effects are taken into account, as you can now see sunsets and cloudy skies in-game.
This is how that looks like:

One of the main complaints about the game is that it misses some details and doesn’t display sidewalks.
However, the new update took care of that.
Here is one funny story from a player regarding the update:
Someone working on OpenStreetMaps (not me… I think..) added the koi pond in my backyard and it shows up in PokemonGo now. I haven’t tried to improve that map in years. Just appeared tonight, I’m mildly amused. pic.twitter.com/EBLyoyKEoO

However, you should keep in mind that not every single location has been updated.
If a significant detail from your surrounding is still missing, it may get fixed soon, in a similar way.
