In Pokemon GO, there is still a good week and a half of July activities to participate in. A Legendary rotation, in addition to other existing events and activities, is imminent.
Players still have a few days to give Moltres a good beating before the next 5-star Raid Boss in Pokemon GO is released. Tonight is another Raid Hour, a great time to take on the fiery bird and rack up some encounters. Even if trainers have a ton of Moltres already, they should still keep an eye out for the Legendary Pokemon since it has a possibility to be shiny right now. Players will want to make sure they have a solid counter roster in place before heading into battle to make the most of the Premier Balls they win and minimize the risk of wasting a Raid Pass.
Even though Moltres has been a Legendary Battle Raid monster since the game’s first generation, many new strategies have emerged since then. Trainees should keep in mind that Moltres is a Fire-type, making the Raid Boss vulnerable to rock, lightning, and water attacks. That’s a large list of vulnerabilities, but it should be enough for most players to be able to put together a solid counter lineup.

The most crucial things to remember are to get enough friends into the fight (at least four or five), and to concentrate on taking advantage of the boss’s vulnerabilities while avoiding its strengths. It could be prudent to waste some assets in order to bring the final lineup into fighting form. For a Legendary Battle Raid, it means investing Stardust, TMs, Elite TMs, and Candy to make sure every Pokemon on your team has the correct move set and is strong enough to absorb strikes from the boss.
