nubia has just released a new gaming smartphone called the Red Magic 8 Pro.
Specs for the phone
The ZTE nubia Red Magic 8 Pro has a larger battery capacity of 6,000 mAh and supports 80W fast charging, whereas the ZTE nubia Red Magic 8 Pro+ has a smaller battery capacity of 5,000 mAh but supports 165W fast charging. Both models are compatible with ZTE’s proprietary super-fast charging technology.
The Pro and the Pro+ share the same software, as well as the CPU, cameras, and footprint; however, the Plus model comes with more RAM and more storage options.
Qualcomm has included its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU into both of the nubia Red Magic 8 Pro handsets it has produced. The addition of a Red Magic R2 CPU allowed for a number of improvements to be made, including those to the audio and visual quality, as well as the touch responsiveness and haptic vibration feedback.
The AMOLED display on the phone includes a 6.8-inch screen with a resolution of Full HD+, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a touch sampling rate of up to 960 Hz. There is no need for a punch-hole design since the front-facing camera of the Red Magic 7 Pro, which has a resolution of 16 megapixels, is located below the screen, much like its predecessor.
Regarding the cameras, there are three of them located on the back of the device. The primary camera has a 1/1.57-inch Samsung ISOCELL GN5 sensor that can capture images at a resolution of 50 megapixels and 1.0 m pixels. In addition, there is a macro camera with a resolution of 2 megapixels and an ultra-wide-angle camera with 8 megapixels; nevertheless, capturing images is not the primary function of a gaming phone.
Because we cannot have a powerful phone without appropriate cooling, the ability to play games smoothly is more vital. The ICE 11.0 cooling system that is utilized in the nubia Red Magic 8 Pro variations has many layers of graphite sheets as well as a 3D vapor chamber that has a capacity of 2,068 cu. mm.
The speed of the side fan has been increased to 20,000 revolutions per minute, and the whole display has been covered with a graphite sheet. These are just two examples of the significant achievements that have been achieved in the field of gaming cellphones.
In addition, Nubia included nine separate antennas into the architecture of the phone in order to improve connectivity. The USB-C charging port is located at the bottom of the device, while the 3.5 mm headphone jack is located on top.
There is once again a robust trigger for the gaming mode, and there are now two shoulder buttons up top (actually located on the right side) that allow touch sampling at 520 Hz. The nubia Red Magic 8 Pro has a battery with a capacity of 6,000 mAh and an 8C configuration. The 80W charger that is included in the packing guarantees a full charge in approximately 35 minutes when starting from zero. In addition to that, its battery is the biggest one that Red Magic has ever included in a smartphone.
The Red Magic 8 Pro+ is the last option available. Nubia decreased the battery size to 5,000 mAh in order to make room for the required circuitry to handle general protection. This was done so that the device could enable 165W fast charging, which is the quickest method of charging that is currently available in a Red Magic smartphone.
Since the 165W charger, which is a GaN adapter with USB-C, would need to undergo strict safety testing in order to be certified in other countries, we have a very strong suspicion that it will never leave China.
Black is one of the color possibilities, and the storage capacity vary from 8 gigabytes up to 256 gigabytes in 64-gigabyte increments. The later model is said to contain a see-through back panel, however it is presently unavailable for purchase. There is a number of memory configurations available for the nubia Red Magic 8 Pro+, starting at 12/256 GB and going up to 16/512 GB and 16/1 TB. The price for black begins at CNY5,199, but in the end, all hues will have a transparent back for an extra cost of CNY200.
