The reason for Lance Reddick’s tragic end has been made public. According to his death certificate, which TMZ received on Thursday, the late “The Wire” star unfortunately had two serious heart conditions: ischemic heart disease and atherosclerotic coronary artery disease. The news is truly devastating, and seeing it all now, it’s just like a bad dream.
On March 17, Reddick’s body was discovered at his Studio City, California, residence. Earlier, law enforcement sources informed TMZ that the actor passed away from “natural causes.” The actor was still working and involved with a project and in the midst of a huge promotion for John Wick: Chapter 4. However, more tragic is that he was only 60.
One of the last appearances was also during The Kelly Clarkson Show. He said:
You see, with the three of us, it’s not just the family that you’re born into, but the family that you created and how much we really are family.
The family Reddick was referring to was definitely Keanu Reeves and Ian McShane.
In the last John Wick movie, Lance Reddick played Charon, who has been a hotel concierge and old pal of John Wick for about a decade in the action movie franchise.
Keanu Reeves said about his companion that:
To have had the chance to work with him over the 10 years and four films [in the franchise] is something very special to me. It f–king sucks he’s not here.
Reeves wore a blue ribbon as a tribute to his late buddy during the premiere of the fourth movie. The gesture is definitely so heartfelt and sad.
In case you didn’t know, ischemia is a thing in which blood flow and oxygen are diminished or limited in a particular area of the body. Moreover, arteriosclerosis happens when the blood arteries thicken and stiffen. They’re known as conductors of oxygen and essential nutrients. Such a thing begins from the heart to the rest of the body and often limits blood flow to the organs and tissues. A heart attack or stroke may be brought on by the clots.
