Returnal is coming to PC soon, and those who will be willing to run the third-person shooter of Climax Studios and Housemarque will need to invest a bit in their hardware configuration if they haven’t done so already. Not any laptop or desktop PC will be compatible, that’s for sure, especially if you want to play the game at more than just the minimum settings for graphics.
Wccftech reveals the system requirements that Returnal has for those who want to play the game on a PC. Just like in the case of any other game out there, the RAM and graphics card play a huge role, and we’re glad to bring more details.
32GB of RAM are recommnended
The devs recommend that your PC should have 32GB of RAM installed if you wish to play Returnal at some advanced graphics settings. Although the news sounds harsh for many people out there, it surely represents a normal scenario in a world like ours, where technology and gaming are always evolving.
Even an official announce trailer has been posted to reveal the arrival of Returnal as a PC game, and you can check it out below:
Having an Intel i7-8700 (6 core 3.7 GHz), an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X (8 core 3.7 GHz), or something even better for the processor of your PC is also part of the recommended configuration. Since the GPU can’t possibly be neglected as well, it’s recommended to have one such as the NVIDIA RTX 2070 SUPER (8 GB) or AMD RX 6700 XT (12 GB).
If you can be satisfied with playing Returnal at the lowest possible settings when it comes to the graphics part, it’s enough if you have only 16GB of RAM, a processor such as the Intel Core i5-6400 (4 core 2.7GHz) or the AMD Ryzen 5 1500X (4 core 3.5GHz), as well as an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (6 GB) or AMD Radeon RX 580 (8 GB) for the video card.
The third-person shooter game Returnal was initially released in April 2021 for PlayStation 5 consoles, and it was built using Unreal Engine 5 and Unreal Engine 4.
