Fortnite is gearing up to welcome back one of the best in-game features: Rift Zones!
Fresh leaks claim that the Rift Zones from previous seasons will finally return, but we should expect a major upgrade. So far, Epic Games have released new and cool ways to spice up a bit the Fortnite battle royale map. Seeing the Rift Zones return is a big surprise!
The Rift Zones will soon take an existing area of the map and add an unexpected twist.
Here is what you need to know.
Rift Zones Launch Date
Rift Zones are pretty much the thing you didn’t think you need until you got it! These zones come with a major map twist, bringing a brand-new POI, health items to explore, and more other stuff.
Thanks to the latest leaks, it seems we’ll get to enjoy the Rift Zones again, but there’ll be a slight twist. What could be this time around?
According to popular and reliable dataminer and leaker HYPEX, Epic Games has already got plans to bring the Rift Zones back this season, but without the Rift Beacons being used as a heads up.
HYPEX published on Twitter, revealing:
Epic are bringing back the idea of Rift Zones, The Mothership is planned create these zones (probably with a beam):
– Low Gravity
– Prop Disguise (Like Season X but limited to the props in the right pic thanks to @gameshed_, prop gun is not limited)
– Rift/Teleport
– Ice Slide pic.twitter.com/Xnx6LX1GsR— HYPEX (@HYPEX) July 21, 2021
But HYPEX didn’t come across yet the areas that the Rift Zones would change. There is revealed, however, the order of the zones, as listed above:
- Rift/ Teleport
- Low Gravity
- Ice Slide
- Prop Disguise (similar to Season X, but limited)
The leaker has said that we could expect the locations to appear in that order and not all at once. Also, things might change following the next major Fortnite update. Chances to see that happen in the coming weeks are pretty much high!
The upcoming update 17.21 is coming this month. Epic Games could add the Rift Zones in the next update batch, but we need confirmation first.
Epic Games is expected to release more details this week!
