If a cop can’t deal with a dangerous situation, why not send a Robocop instead? The legendary franchise will be back in business once again next year with a brand new game, and it will be known as RoboCop: Rogue City.
We knew for quite some time that RoboCop: Rogue City is in the works, as developer Teyon and the publisher Nacon are working on the title. The player will obviously land in the shoes of Robocop, and his mission is to bring justice to the dangerous city of Old Detroit by going through a first-person experience.
“RoboCop: Rogue City” launches on June 2023
We have more than six months to wait until “RoboCop: Rogue City” comes out. The big launch will take place next year in June, and there are plenty of supported platforms: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It’s a bit surprising that the upcoming RoboCop game won’t work on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, but that’s how tech goes, whether we like it or not: older consoles become obsolete, regardless of how great they once were.
The Steam service provides the following description for the upcoming game, just in case you’re willing to learn more about it:
Become the iconic part man, part machine, all cop hero as you attempt to bring justice to the dangerous, crime-ridden streets of Old Detroit. Armed with your trusty Auto-9, factory-built strength, years of experience on the force and a variety of tools at your disposal, you will fight forces seeking to destroy the city you call home in an all new first-person, explosive hunt for the truth. You have the power to decide how to fulfil prime directives in your own way, but as the story unfolds proceed with caution because corruption and greed know no limits.
We don’t know about you, but we’re already eager to see the game’s debut in June 2023!
