After the impressive success of the Galaxy A53 model that was released this year, Samsung plans to enhance the A-series even further. The Galaxy A54 model is on its way to the market, and it will also be a pretty powerful midrange device.
According to mysmartprice, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A54 has been spotted on Geekbench 5 with a pretty impressive processor. While the previous midrange device, Galaxy A53, was equipped with the Exynos 1280 chipset, it seems that Samsung will raise the stakes even more.
Samsung Galaxy A54 will feature the Exynos 1380 SoC
Samsung’s forthcoming Galaxy A54 model will be equipped with the Exynos 1380 chipset, which clearly represents a progression from the predecessor device. The future phone of the South Korean giant carries the model number SM-A546B on Geekbench 5, and here are the scores for its Exynos 1380 SoC:
- Single-Core Score: 776
- Multi-Core Score: 2699
If we compare the two scores with those that the Exynos 1280 chipset, which is mounted on the previous Galaxy A53, can obtain, we realize some significant differences, at least when it comes to the multi-core score. Exynos 1280 can score around 1878 points for the multi-core score in the same Geekbench 5.
As for the single-core score of the Exynos 1280, it revolves around 730 points. Therefore, if you didn’t make up your mind yet regarding which one of the two Samsung phones to buy, meaning the A53 or A54 model, you should definitely wait a few months more to grab the latter.
Thanks to the Geekbench 5 test in question, we also found out that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A54 will feature 6GB of RAM, a camera setup having 50MP for the main lens, and Android 13 preinstalled.
We can realistically expect Samsung to launch its Galaxy A54 phone in several months, although there’s no precise release date available. The company sure has great plans for 2023.
