According to new tech news, the Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus may be taking advantage of batteries of a larger capacity.
However, based on the latest leaked docs, it appears that Samsung’s Galaxy S23 Ultra model could be offering the exact same capacity.
In fact, it’s possible that the South Korean tech giant will even downgrade the charging speed for their next gen phone.
As you may or may not be aware, vanilla models of the upcoming Galaxy S23 passed FCC certification earlier this week.
Aside from the confirmed chipset and battery ratings, reports also say that Samsung will also host the upcoming Unpacked event starting with February of next year where they are also expected to unveil the Galaxy S23 lineup.
The doc also revealed that the most expensive model will have a 4,855 mAh battery but will be generally advertised as 5,000 mAh, in order to make it more similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
Unexpectedly enough, it also suggested that the device will be released with a slower 25 W charging speed.
However, you should know that this may not be such a big problem since the current 45 W rating doesn’t actually offer any significant improvements in testing to begin with.
At the same time, all the details attached in the filling don’t always tell the whole story.
For example, the Wi-Fi version mentioned is version 6E in spite of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC supporting the Wi-Fi 7.
With that being said, it is possible that users may eventually get faster charging speeds if just paired with a more capable power brick.
People anticipate Samsung to also equip the Galaxy S23 Ultra with a 200 MP main sensor, a more advanced ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and a better front facing camera.
In addition to all of that, it is also anticipated that the device will feature a tougher Gorilla Glass Victus 2 over the armor aluminum body.
Whether there will be any changes in the pricing of the whole Galaxy S23, that is still not certain.
