Samsung fans seem to have let their favorite company off the hook despite the fact that the first foldable phones created by the South Korean giant weren’t exactly what everyone expected. They were just frail and contained some obvious flaws. But in the meantime, Samsung has released some powerful foldable devices, such as the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4, which came out last year in August.

To make a long story short, Samsung is now preparing for the release of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 foldable smartphones. These two devices will clearly be superior to their predecessors, as we all know very well how things go in technology: the standards of users always grow, and the specs and features of smartphones also become more and more impressive over time.

The production for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 start in June 2023

Thanks to Ross Young, a tech expert who’s involved in news and predictions regarding smartphones, we can find out that the production for both the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 start this year in June. This means that the release is not too far away at all.

Furthermore, the tech expert claims that panel shipments for the two upcoming foldables will begin at some point in May.

We can assume that Samsung will rely on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor for both the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 models. It’s the same chipset that exists on all three phones of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series that came out back in February. It’s also the best chipset that currently exist on any Android-based phone.

Samsung began its foldable smartphone line back in 2019 with the release of the device that was simply called the Samsung Galaxy Fold. Other companies also create foldable smartphones, such as Huawei, Xiaomi, Motorola, and more.
