It has been confirmed by Sega that the Mega Drive Mini 2 will be released later this year, and it will have more than 60 games. Some of these games include Ecco the Dolphin and Streets of Rage 3. On October 27, the Genesis Mini 2 will also be available for purchase in North America. On the same day, the Mega Drive Mini 2 will be released in Europe.
Back in June, the company made the initial announcement on the console. It will include new versions of classic Mega Drive games, as well as titles that have never been released before (such as Devi & Pii and Star Mobile), as well as titles ported from the Sega CD.

Back in 2019, Sega introduced the first Mega Drive Mini, which had a total of 42 game titles.
However, a Sega spokesman previously informed Polygon that the console’s distribution in the West will be one-tenth of the run that the Sega Mega Drive Mini 2 had in Japan because of the global shortage of semiconductors. Pre-order details concerning the Mega Drive Mini 2 has not yet been confirmed.
