After more than three years, SpaceX’s massive Falcon Heavy rocket has just blown fire for the first time during a ‘static fire’ test.

SpaceX’s new mission is quite ambitious, and the prelaunch trials, which included temporarily igniting a rocket’s first-stage engines while the vehicle is still attached to the ground, have proven that. Discover the full story below!

The Falcon Heavy Rocket is Getting Ready For Its Big Launch

SpaceX has just announced via Twitter its last step in taking the Falcon Heavy Rocket ready for action.

According to SpaceX’s statement, the rocket is still on schedule to launch the USSF-44 mission for the American Space Force on Tuesday (November 1). That means there are only a couple of days left. How exciting!

Moreover, the launch of USSF-44 will be Falcon Heavy’s fourth and its first since June 2019. The Space Force will use the massive rocket to launch two satellites, but nothing is known about their objectives or payloads. Brig. Gen. Stephen Purdy, the Space Force’s program executive officer for assured access to space, stated:

The Falcon Heavy is an important element of our overall lift capability, and we’re very excited to be ready for launch.

And that’s not all.

SpaceX has been pretty busy lately. For instance, the space company sent one of its reliable Falcon 9 rockets to place 53 of its sleek Starlink internet satellites into orbit. Quite impressive, isn’t it?!

The Starlink flight actually took out from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California and included landing the Falcon 9’s first stage on a ship at sea. The best part? It was the 49th orbital mission for SpaceX in 2022!

Elon Musk’s space company is definitely ambitious and ready to leave everyone in awe with its projects. More details about the new space mission will be soon available, so stay tuned to be the first to know!
