Rocksteady Studios’ upcoming game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League won’t be released this year after being postponed once again.
Revealed around this time last year in March, the first postponement of the game, which was initially scheduled to be launched in 2022, is now followed by this second delay.
In a statement released in accordance with the newest delay, Rocksteady promised that there would be more information to reveal in the months ahead and referred to the decision to postpone the game as a “difficult but necessary choice” essential to providing gamers with the best possible gaming experience.
The statement released on their official Twitter page reads: “We have made the tough but needed decision to take the time needed to further work on getting our game to be the best quality for players. Thank you to our community for your continued patience, support and understanding. There’s much more to share in the upcoming months and we look forwrad to seeing you in Metropolis next year.”

The game has been weighed down by uncertainty regarding its release date for a while now.
Potential players were able to see a longer gameplay preview of Kill the Justice League at the State of Play event, which also featured the game’s live-service components.
People often compared this game to Marvel’s Avengers when commenting on those aspects of the game as well as the complicated RPG-style loot system, which required players to equip various items of gear with various effects and stats to take into account.
Rocksteady Studios, the company behind Kill the Justice League, has been relatively quiet regarding updates on the game since that lukewarm showcase.
For instance, the final tweet sent out by the game’s Twitter account served as a reminder for users to check out the State of Play stream in case they were yet to do it.
Since then, information about the game has been spread, leading some to speculate that Rocksteady may have been keeping quiet because they and Warner Bros. Games had not yet decided on a new launch date.
As for those who have allegedly been discussing the game favorably during development, they have given assurances that it won’t be like Gotham Knights or Marvel’s Avengers, but since Rocksteady hasn’t said anything about it, these kinds of rumors and reports have been simply left to fill in some of the blanks.
The new official release date for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is February 2, 2024!
