According to the latest reports, get ready for this because it’s going to be pretty shocking, singer Taylor Swift and actor Joe Alwyn have ended their six-year relationship. Well, that’s something that we definitely didn’t see it coming. Swift’s sold-out Eras tour, during which the actor hasn’t been sighted, is now touring the country when the split news was announced. The well-known secretive pair kept their relationship private throughout the years, with the English actor, 32, and Grammy winner, 33, denying engagement rumors. But can you blame them?
In 2016, Taylor and Joe started dating. They had some of the most amazing moments, including incredible professional collabs. Over the years, the two started working together on music, which resulted in a fantastic Grammy Award triumph, but then again is Taylor who we’re speaking of, so her success is obvious! Alwyn and Swift also collaborated on the hit albums Folklore and Evermore, which he came up with numerous songs, with a sleek alias known as William Bowery. For instance, Evermore was nominated for the same prize in the 2022 Grammys, but it was Folklore that won the award for album of the year in 2021!
Taylor stated a bit while ago:
Joe and I really love sad songs. We’ve always bonded over music; [..] We write the saddest songs. We just really love sad songs. What can I say?
As for Alwyn, he said:
I understand people’s curiosity in the world we live in, about people’s private lives; […] I just don’t feel it’s something I want to offer up to be picked apart by people who don’t know about it, and it’s just not theirs to have.
One of the most iconic appearances of the duo was back in 2018 in London. Instead of going to the Grammys, Swift, who was also filming Cats at the time, went to the BAFTAs with Alwyn. They were definitely a power couple!
