The device seems to be suitable for anyone who’s interested in a computer, whether he wants to use it for business purposes or casual activities such as gaming or social media.
A powerful 120Hz display
Having a lot of hardware power would be pretty much useless on a laptop if the display cannot cope. Tecno is one of the companies that have learned that lesson very well. The company’s new MegaBook S1 laptop comes equipped with a powerful display that measures 15.6 inches. It’s also capable of an aspect ratio of 16:10, and it can do its job pretty well even if it’s exposed to too much sunlight, thanks to its 450 nits of brightness. The display is also capable of a resolution of 3.2K, which grants a great level of detail for the content. Thanks to the TUV technology, the laptop will also provide enough Eye Comfort Experience to the user.
But the main highlight when it comes to the display of the Tecno MegaBook S1 laptop is represented by the refresh rate of 120Hz. This will assure that the content is displayed on the screen very smoothly, regardless if we’re talking about watching a movie, engaging in a video call, or engaging in high-end gaming.
Did we mention that the new laptop is also very light and thin? Weighing only 1.35kg and being only 13.5mm thin, you won’t feel a thing when you carry it inside a briefcase or a backpack. MegaBook S1 also consists of an iceless craft magnesium alloy body.
Powerful hardware specs
The new MegaBook S1 laptop from Tecno is not only elegant and easy to use. It’s also efficient for its hardware part, and that’s another area where the device shines.
Tecno implemented 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a PCIe 4.0 SSD that reaches up to 1TB of memory. Of course, having those specs without a powerful processor as well would be pretty useless, and it’s great to see that the guys from Tecno know that lesson as well. That’s why they’ve also included a 12th Gen Intel Core i7 processor to harness the laptop’s huge power.
The laptop will also cool down fast and efficiently due to its ICE Storm Cooling System.
MegaBook S1 is also capable of providing Sound Matrix due to its 6 powerful speakers. We also have to mention the presence of the added DTS:X Ultra support. You’ll likely get to listen to your favorite music using apps like Spotify or TIDAL without having to attach any extra speakers to the laptop.
The anti-peeping AI camera that exists on Tecno’s new laptop will make you stay away from many intruders.
Prices
You surely have already guessed that the new Tecno MegaBook S1 is nothing but a cheap laptop. The product comes available in 512GB storage for $1,500, while you need to pay 100 bucks more if you want the 1TB storage variant. We believe that it’s clearly worth purchasing the 1TB variant, as 512GB may not be enough in 2022.
Charging the new Tecno MegaBook S1 laptop also won’t give you any headaches. The laptop comes accompanied by a portable 65W GaN Fast Charger and a large 70Wh battery. Windows 11 is also preinstalled on the new Tecno computer, which is great news in case you want the latest operating system created by Microsoft.
