Telegram developers know very well that people are generally super-excited when it comes to group video calls. Especially during these times when the COVID pandemic is ravaging the world, gathering with your friends on video calls seems like a wise option to consider.
Telegram, the video calling service known as a worthy competitor for WhatsApp, has announced on its official website that it’s implementing some exciting new features. One of them is represented by the expansion of the number of maximum allowed visitors per video call.
Up to 1,000 viewers per video call
Just in case users need more audience to witness the extremely interesting discussions they have about football, pop singers, or the ice bucket challenge, Telegram has it covered. The app will allow those involved in group calls to have much more audience than before.
Just in case you’re rooting for more privacy, no offence, but perhaps Telegram is not for you anymore. Luckily, there are so many exciting apps of this kind out there to choose from: Viber, Skype, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and so on. Similar to many other apps of its kind, Telegram offers encryption.
Telegram reveals it loud and clear on its website:
Group video calls allow up to 30 users broadcast video from both their camera and screen – and now 1000 people can watch anything from online lectures to live rap battles.
We will keep increasing this limit until all humans on Earth can join one group call and watch us yodel in celebration (coming soon).
Feel free to tell us what do you think about Telegram’s new update and if you’re willing to continue using the app! The comment section invites both Telegram and non-Telegram users to participate in the discussion!
