The FIFA game series represents a glorious history that has lasted for over a quarter of a century. The first FIFA game ever released was the one from December 1993. Meanwhile, the series has been through tremendous changes in its constant search to provide gamers with a very realistic experience that’s also according to the football games from real life.

FIFA 23 is expected to launch on the market in September this year, and as usual, we can expect even more improvements for the series. Except for the updates on the rosters of players and teams, perhaps the main highlight is the addition of much more natural movements of the players themselves. But until FIFA 23 comes out, there’s other important news we need to hear about.

Will FIFA become EA Sports FC?

According to VentureBeat.com, recent reports reveal that the legendary FIFA series might change its name to EA Sports FC. One of the possible reasons is that the developers behind the series don’t like the idea of paying the FIFA football organization for using the name. It sounds like a pretty good excuse if you ask us.

The news regarding the possible change comes from Jeff Grub, who is a gaming journalist, to be more precise.

FIFA 22, meaning the latest iteration of the football simulation series, remains a very interesting game. The developers continue to provide exciting updates, and you can feel free of checking out what the Steam page has to say about the game itself:

Powered by Football™, EA SPORTS™ FIFA 22 brings the game even closer to the real thing with fundamental gameplay advances and a new season of innovation across every mode.

We’re eagerly waiting to find out what footballer will be on the cover of FIFA 23. There are plenty of possible options when it comes to highly-skilled players: Jadon Sancho, Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappé, and many more.
