The Vivomove Trend combines the greatest features of analog and digital watches by having both an analog face with traditional hands for telling time and a digital display below the face for displaying additional information as required. The screen may show health and activity stats while also offering you up-to-date information with alerts for SMS, emails, and social network updates. The watch hands may be moved out of the way when you tap the screen, making it possible to read the notifications and navigate the menus that appear on the watch face without having to look away. Garmin’s smartwatches have an extremely long battery life. Today, the firm revealed its newest product, the Vivomove Trend, a wristwatch that gives traditional style but also has the capacity to monitor all your fitness indicators, plus, it offers something that no other Garmin smartwatch has – the ability to charge wirelessly.
A year after rumors of the Vivomove Trend wristwatch initially surfaced online, Garmin officially introduced the device. The Vivomove Trend delivers as promised, being a cross-platform wearable with a modest screen capable of displaying the essentials. The smartwatch just has one display, measuring 25.6 by 18.8 mm and running at 254 x 346 pixels, despite what the promotional graphics from Garmin may have you believe. The Vivomove Trend has dimensions of 40.4 mm x 40.4 mm x 11.9 mm, can accommodate straps with a width of 20 mm, and has a mass of 43.3 g when equipped with the included silicone strap.
Garmin claims that the smartwatch is made of a combination of a stainless steel bezel and a fiber-reinforced polymer casing. The Vivomove Trend can withstand water pressure up to 5 ATM, and it can function as a smartwatch for up to 5 days before needing a recharge. When worn in watch mode with all smart capabilities turned off, the wristwatch will require charging after 6 days. In addition to Garmin Pay and the Garmin Connect app, the Vivomove Trend is compatible with Garmin’s standard range of wristwatch applications and services. While Gamin says that the Vivomove Trend is suited for fitness monitoring, it lacks a GPS module. Connected GPS functionality is instead dependent on pairing with a supported mobile device. There are now four color options for the Vivomove Trend.
