Nintendo has done a pretty impressive job when it comes to its Nintendo Switch console, which was released back in 2017. That handheld console has the merit of being extremely versatile – you can use it either as a joystick, or as a portable console, or you can also connect it to a large monitor in order to enjoy a more enhanced gaming experience.
You got the point: Nintendo Switch is not for anyone. But even so, there are ways of enjoying games that are exclusive to the platform directly on other devices. How can you do that? Simple: through emulators such as Yuzu. And thankfully, those who are willing to use the service now have even more opportunities of doing so.
Yuzu is available NOW on the Google Play Store
Through an official post, the devs of Yuzu themselves announced that their emulator is available now for Android users and that you can grab it from the Google Play Store. As you’ve probably already guessed, you won’t necessarily need a physical joystick in order to play Nintendo Switch games on your Android phone through Yuzu. Virtual buttons will appear directly on your phone’s display while you emulate your favorite games.
Here are the features that you’ll be getting while running Yuzu on your Android phone:
- Compatibility with thousands of titles from the gaming world
- Enhanced graphics, such as texture filtering
- Support for game modding
- Support for external joysticks
- Support for various built-in features, such as motion controls, splitscreen multiplayer/local co-op, and so on
However, the Yuzu emulator for Android isn’t free of charge. You’ll need to pay about $5.80 to buy the software, but hey, surely it’s worth paying the fee if you want to emulate your favorite Nintendo Switch games. Among the most interesting games available for Nintendo’s handheld console, we can mention titles such as Mario Kart, The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Oddysey, and a lot more.
