What’s Streaming in July on Netflix, HBO Max, Amazon Prime and Hulu

With long-awaited shows and new releases being scheduled to stream, July will have something for every taste lined up. From TV shows to movies and documentaries, here are some of the most anticipated productions that will reach streaming platforms this month, courtesy of TVGuide.com.

  1. Stranger Things 4: Volume 2 (July 1st)

July brings Stranger Things fans the final two episodes of the series, which was released in two volumes. The first volume was streamed on Netflix starting with the 27th of May.

  1. Persuasion (July 15th)

Netflix’s first adaptation of a Jane Austen novel, Persuasion is set to be released on the 15th of July. The production will star Dakota Johnson, who will play the main character of the story.

  1. Uncharted (July 15th)

Also on July 15th, an adaptation of the well-known video game, Uncharted, which was developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, will be released.

  1. The Gray Man (July 22nd)

Starring Ryan Gosling, who will appear in a movie for the first time since 2018, The Gray Man is an action thriller directed by the Russso Brothers. The movie includes other established names in the industry, like Chris Evans and Ana de Armas.

With Anya Taylor-Joy in the role of the main character, Last Night in Soho is a psychological thriller centered around the idea of time travel.

  1. The Rehearsal (July 15th)

This a comedy show starring Nathan Fielder, who, according to imdb.com, “gives people a chance to rehearse for their own lives in a world where nothing never works out as expected.”

  1. The Last Movie Stars (July 21st)

A production directed by Ethan Hawke, The Last Movie Stars is a six-part docuseries that centers around the lives of Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward.

  1. Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin (July 28th)

With the action unfolding in the original Pretty Little Liars universe, this new series focuses on a new set of characters, facing a similar challenge as the initial series.

If you’re a drama fan, this movie will be the choice for you. Starring John Cho, Don’t Make Me Go will be released on July 15th and is bound to make even the toughest of us tear up.

Tackling a very topical subject, Anything’s Possible is a movie about a Gen Z trans student who struggles to navigate her senior high school year.

Inspired by a comic series authored by Brian K. Vaughn, Paper Girls is a drama-fantasy-horror series that might be a pretty good replacement for Stranger Things once you’ve finished the latter.

The beloved comedy series is returning on July 13th with its 4th season. If you’re eager to find out what happened with your favorite vampires during the break, you don’t have much longer to wait.

Directed by Paula Iselt and Tonya Lewis, Aftershock is a documentary that tackles the issue of the US maternal health crisis.

  1. All My Friends Hate Me (July 22nd)
