The Xbox Series X and S consoles that were released by Microsoft in late 2020 are capable of higher processing speeds compared to the previous Xbox One gaming machine. But even so, you know how things go in the gaming area: there’s always room for improvements.
When you turn up the Xbox Series X/S console, you’ll be accompanied by a short animation. Instead of running for nine seconds, that animation will soon run for only four seconds, according to purexbox.com. Surely a lot of exciting stuff can happen in the gaming world in those five seconds, so any hardcore gamer who owns an Xbox Series X/S should be happy about the change!
Someone asked me about this, and I'll admit I had no clue, but I checked, and yes, the boot animation and cold startup time in general on Xbox Series X|S consoles has been shortened in the latest Insider builds! Who else noticed?

There’s also some relevant footage about the boot speed-up:

There’s a little catch, however, as you know what they say that you can’t have your cake and eat it too. You can see the animation if the gaming machine doesn’t have the “instant-on” mode activated.
The improvement is already available for some Xbox Insider rings, which means that it will soon arrive on your console as well to make it boot up faster.
Just in case you want to remind yourself about what the Xbox Series X console is capable of, here’s a list of specs:
- CPU: 3.8-GHz AMD Zen 2-based processor
- GPU: 12-teraflop AMD RDNA 2 GPU with 52 Compute Units (CU)
- Memory: 16 GB
- Storage: 1 TB NVMe SSD
- Max Resolution: 8K
- Max Framerate: 120 fps
Feel free to tell us what you think about the upcoming improvement in the comment section of the article!
