The MediaTek Dimensity 8200-Ultra processor wasn’t launched yet, but that will soon change if the plans of Xiaomi are put into practice. The Chinese brand is preparing the release of its Xiaomi CIVI 3 smartphone, which will also carry the MediaTek Dimensity 8200-Ultra processor.
According to MySmartPrice, Xiaomi CIVI 3 has been spotted on Geekbench. The listing reveals the device carrying 12GB of RAM, the MediaTek Dimensity 8200-Ultra processor, and more.
Xiaomi CIVI 3 also comes equipped with Android 13 out of the box, and it’s reasonable to assume that the upgrade to Android 14 will be like a walk in the park. Xiaomi seems eager to prove that you can definitely have your cake and eat it too, meaning that it’s possible to have a pretty powerful device that also scores high in Geekbench testing.
The device’s listing on Geekbench reveals some interesting specs, indeed, such as Android 13 and 12GB of RAM. The CIVI series is transitioning from Qualcomm Snapdragon 7-series to MediaTek Dimensity 8000-based smartphones, while the CIVI 3 is equipped with the latest version of the 8200 processor. Although the benchmark test shows similarities to the vivo I2238 (or iQOO Neo7 SE) with the same processor, it is unknown how the “Ultra” variant differentiates itself in this leak. The device’s performance scores are similar to the Neo7 SE, despite the CIVI 3 having 12GB of RAM compared to only the 8GB of the Neo7 SE model. The CIVI 3 now faces the challenge of proving that the “8200-Ultra” offers more than just a potentially underwhelming refresh upon its release.
Xiaomi seems like it has gotten its act together in recent years, and we can bet that the company will keep releasing pretty impressive and affordable smartphones. If you just can’t believe that their plans will turn into reality, well, you can just give them the benefit of the doubt.
