Xiaomi is well known for its wide range of budget-friendly fitness bands and now it has officially launched a new and promising one: Xiaomi Mi Band 7 Pro. This is an enhanced edition of the Mi Band 7 and rumors of its launch have been circulating for some time.
While the Xiaomi Mi Band 7 Pro has been launched in China on the 4th of July, together with the Xiaomi 12S range of smartphones, a global launch date hasn’t officially been provided.
The biggest update to the device is its design, which is very similar to a smartwatch. And this is due mainly to its big screen. The new Mi Band 7 Pro features a larger, 1.62-inch AMOLED display, protected by 2.5D glass, and a resolution of 490×192, with an Always-On display option. The band also has an in-built GPS that ensures tracking without having to use a smartphone and a 235mAh battery that can last approximately 12 days.
At the same time, according to Tech Advisor, the Xiaomi Mi Band 7 Pro “offers continuous heart rate and (improved) blood oxygen tracking, as well as support for breathing exercises, stress evaluation and female cycle tracking.”
The fitness band comes with 180 watch looks and has the ability to track 117 types of sports that include both indoor, and outdoor workouts and activities.
The Mi Band 7 Pro comes in colors graphite/black and rose gold/white, with the option to change the strap into one of a different color. According to Android Police, the colors you can choose from are Vitality Orange, Resting White, Joy Live Pink, Meditation Green, Night Leap Black, and Stretch Blue.
The Xiaomi Mi Band 7 Pro has been launched with a price of CNY 379, which is the equivalent of about 57 USD. With a good set of features and a very appealing price, the Mi Band 7 Pro has the potential to become a hit on the market of fitness trackers. However, for now, we will have to wait for more information on the global launch of the product.
