The Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, and Xiaomi 13 Limited Edition are just a few of the new products that Xiaomi introduced in its home country. All the details and first images of the highly anticipated flagship smartphones, which won’t be released in China until the following spring of 2023.
The Xiaomi 13’s angular design, which we noticed in the leaked photos and which immediately brought to mind Apple’s iPhone, was confirmed at yesterday’s event. In addition to the black and white versions, which I still questioned this morning, a limited edition of colored ones will be up for pre-order as of tonight.
December 14 is the first day consumers in China can buy any of the three versions. People who aren’t in China probably won’t get it until spring of 2023. Even then, they might come out with the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, which wasn’t shown off yesterday.
The almost flat 6.36-inch E6 AMOLED screen can refresh at 120 Hz and sample at 240 Hz, and its resolution is 2,400 x 1,080 (FHD+). A peak brightness of 1,900 nits is specified, which is an incredible value. Additionally, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, 8/128, 8/256, 12/256, and 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and 512 GB of internal UFS 4.0 program storage, are all new and improved features. In addition, the latter configuration is the only one available in the five eye-catching colors found in the Limited Edition. These colors include red, yellow, blue, and gray.
The 4,500 mAh battery supports HyperCharge, a 67-watt charging technology, for lightning-fast recharging. There is a 32 megapixel punch-hole camera in the top middle of the display, and a fascinating Leica triple camera array in the back. The 1/1.49-inch Sony IMX800 powers the 50 MP main camera, and Hyper-OIS provides image stabilization. It has a 12 megapixel ultra-wide angle camera and a 10 megapixel telephoto zoom camera for backup. The Xiaomi 13 series weighs in at 189 grams, has dimensions of 153 x 72 x 8, and has a price tag of 3,999 to 4,999 yuan (roughly $550 to $680).
